2010 Victor Harbor Art Show

Inspired by a recent trip to the Coorong in South Australia’s South East, I have just completed three paintings in which I have attempted to express my reaction to the ecological crisis in which the Coorong is gripped.

Called end of the drain, the paintings hint at the increasing toxicity of the Coorong’s ailing waters, and the futility of the government’s attempts at engineering solutions.

I have entered the paintings into the 2010 Victor Harbor Art Show, a huge exhibition of paintings by local and interstate artists.

The exhibition is held in a massive marquee at Warland Reserve, at the tourist hub of the town, and runs from 15th to 23rd January 2010. It’s open from 6:45 pm to 9 pm on 15th January, and thereafter from 10 am to 8:30 pm daily.

Many of the works on display are very reasonably priced, including mine! ;)
